About the event

If you’re local to the Loma area or involved in the Grand Valley agricultural community, you may know Tristan and Alyza Wachholtz, a young family who has been through the ringer for the last year. After months of Children’s Hospital NICU and tons of doctors visits for their battle with the early arrival of the adorable Baby Briggs, this family has recently taken another major hit. 

Alyza, age 25 and momma to the two sweetest kiddos of 5 and premie 6 months old, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. She starts chemotherapy this last week of October in an aggressive attempt to fight the cancer. With rounds of chemo and radiation, and all that comes with that, they have a long hard road ahead.

Baby Briggs who was born at 28 weeks, has already had brain surgeries and still has a number of surgeries up ahead as well. He is a strong and healthy fighter that is a miracle and answered prayer. And while we always start with prayer and believing in the prosperous plan of our Savior, we are asking for the community’s help in providing for this young family.

Medical expenses and meeting high deductibles is a huge stressor for this family that we would like to alleviate. In an effort to raise $15,000 to help with medical costs, trips to specialists etc. with GoFundMe and providing meals via Meal Train, we also will be hosting a Benefit Country Dance and Dinner event. That’s where you could come in!

Tickets are $20/person, $35 for a couple, $5/child (5 and under are free)

    Refund Policy- This policy outlines the circumstances under which Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event will refund any money raised.
     
    • Cancellations
      If the Wachholtz Benefit Dinner is canceled due to reasons outside of our  control but you have purchased a ticket or made a donation, Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event may refund those donations if any of the circumstances set out below apply.

    • Errors by you
      If you or a donor, have made an error in the amount of your donation or have duplicated your
      donation in error, Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event may provide you with a refund, but we are not obliged to do so.

    • Errors by Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event
      Should an error be made by Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event or its financial institution(s), full refunds will be made as soon as possible upon notification of the error and all costs will be borne by Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event.

      Raffle tickets, dinner tickets etc
      Drawing  tickets, dinner tickets, silent auction winnings  etc are not donations because you receive a benefit, or the chance of a benefit, in return. This refund policy only applies to donations. Any refund for raffle tickets, dinner tickets etc can be resolved by emailing wachholtzyear22@gmail.com
      Change your mind?
      Please choose to donate to Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event carefully as refunds are not normally provided when you or a donor have simply changed your/their mind.
      Applying for a Refund

    • Please notify us within 60 days of the Wachholtz Benefit Dinner being cancelled or an error being made. Regrettably, after this time, Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event will be unable to provide you or a donor with any refund.

    • All requests for refunds must be made in writing and directed by email to wachholtzyear22@gmail.com or by post to Fundraising/Events Team Leader, Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event 1376 O ½ Road Loma, CO 81524

    • Your refund request should include these details:

      • ➢  the date the donation was made

      • ➢  the donation amount(s)

      • ➢  name of the donor (unless the donation was made through a third-party platform)

      • ➢  the receipt number (if issued) by Support The Wachholtz Benefit Event

      • ➢  nature of the error

    Support the Wachholtz Benefit Event  reserves the right to deduct any bank or transaction charges for any refund processed.

    Payment of your refund

    We will endeavour to review and respond to your request for a refund as soon as possible.

    Unless otherwise agreed with you, all refunds will be made via the original method of payment. For example, if the donation was paid using a credit card, the amount of the refund will be credited to the same credit card.
